Official Announcement - As seen in the Dagger Press

Retired Bel Air High School Principal Joseph Voskuhl Files Candidacy For Harford School Board District C Seat

From Joseph Voskuhl: The election of 2014 offers a unique opportunity to make a change in how the Board of Education conducts business and that is why I have chosen to run.

I pledge to represent the parents and students of HCPS. I will attend PTSA meetings to hear the concerns of the community I hope to represent. I will bring these concerns to the Board of Education in order to resolve issues in an open and honest venue.

With the election of a new County Executive and County Council President, the board will have the opportunity to reach out and participate in the budget process in a more cooperative manner. Working with the county government, the Board of Education must take a look at how they can make meaningful cuts in their expenses without harming the education of our children. The time has come for hard decisions to be made. Every program, position and budget line item needs to be on the table. We need to focus on the students and their needs.
